I'd like to start off this year by talking about YOU!

You are beautiful!
No matter what your shape, your height, your color eyes, length of your nose, placement of your teeth. You are beautiful! My wish for you is that this year when you look into the mirror you see a gorgeous blossoming flower instead of a disgusting withering weed. Make a choice every day that you will feel beautiful not because you need approval from everyone, but because you know that no matter what you are beautiful!

Whether you play the piano, paint masterpieces, knit at the speed of lightning, sing powerfully, or shush a crying baby with a mere whisper. The world needs you desperately! You have something unique to offer that only you can offer! I once heard someone say that the combination of your personality, character, and talents is what makes your gift to the world different from all the others. So I encourage you to not give up on yourself! Whether your talents are obvious or not, they are there and they CAN make a difference!
You are smart!
You read computer code, you speak four languages, you know the location of every star, you know the name of every bone in your body, you know the difference between wrong and right. And if you feel like you're not smart... I know for a fact there is at least one thing you know that I don't have a hot clue about! So guess what?!?! You are smart!

You are a daughter of the King. This means you were no afterthought. You were placed, with an incredible purpose, into this heritage. God loves you, and longs to have an intimate relationship with you.

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! {Phil. 4:13} He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. {2 Tim. 1:7} So take that step onto the waves because you will be able to walk. As you keep your mind fixed on Jesus, no obstacle has power over you. Just shove that little annoying thing out of the way. Do what you were created to do! Go forth with courage.

Go do something crazy! I mean of course be sensible. I don't want you to get killed jumping out of a plane without a parachute. That wouldn't be all too lovely. But it couldn't hurt to spice up your life a little bit. And you know, adventures aren't just the ones that lead you miles away from home. You can toilet paper your own room for all I care. Let your heart be free for once in your life!
